Collection: Mennonite Quilts for Sale in Ontario Canada

I come from a long line of needle wielding women, most of whom lived the Christian life. I was raised in a community of Reformed Mennonites and eventually embraced their Faith and now belong to their church group.

I have been sewing since I was a young girl. My Mom was an accomplished seamstress in her day, sewing garments for others in addition to quilts and all the other tasks associated with old-fashioned homemaking.

My name is Kim and I started Momma Bears Quilts in 2015. My own children were mostly grown and, with their encouragement, I entered the world of online selling. I started by using Etsy as a selling platform and have since added my own website, here.

I specialize in one of a kind and small batch quilts of all sizes, made entirely by myself from selecting fabric through to the last stitch. While I do very little hand quilting, as my ancestors did, I have a longarm quilting machine in my home based studio. Primarily I use a freemotion stitching technique (no computer) which you can read about here
